Surgical Pouch is entirely commercially supported and privately funded by Hurstwood Holdings and Arrowmere Capital.
Hurstwood Holdings is a privately owned and managed property investment and development company with an over 30 year history.
With Chairman and CEO Stephen Ashworth at the helm, Hurstwood Holdings has progressed into a national commercial and residential company, with properties stretching from Inverness down to Swindon. The portfolio has a value of £200 million made up of industrial, office, leisure and residential, and home to nearly 1000 occupier clients.
Hurstwood has it’s headquarters at 40 Peter Street in Manchester, from which most of it’s dedicated team provide a full range of professional services including asset and estate management, development, legal, lettings and investment.
Stephen and Tim met as children growing up in the same area and became lifelong friends.
Naturally, life saw them go their own ways with Tim working in the IT sector until moving into NHS supply and Stephen working in the property sector eventually running his own property investment business and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
When Tim had the science of the Pouch secured, he approached Stephen along with Andy Park Hustwood’s MD and their team to use their commercial acumen to really drive the project forward which accelerated the process and in 2019 the testing and certification for the pouch was finalised.
In 2020 the CE Marking was achieved, and the patent granted in April 2021.
